How To Reach Brahmatal Trek?

The Brahmatal Trek is located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand in India. To trek Brahmatal, one needs to reach the Kathgodam Station, which can be reached either through train or by air. Trains to Kathgodam station are available everywhere including New Delhi, Puri and so on.

 One can reach Lohajung from Kathgodam station via Dwarahat – Almora – Kausani Road. It is a 7 hour journey. From Lohajung, the actual trek starts and it ascends till the next halt, that is, Bekaltal. From Bekaltal, one needs to trek towards the Brahmatal Trek, to its summit which is approximately 5 hours away. 

After reaching The Brahmatal Trek, one can stay at the campsite for a day-or two days and then descend back towards Lohagunj.

Walking over rhododendron, oak and fir trees

Nearly 8 miles separate Lohajung and Bekaltal, a high-altitude natural lake that empties into Mundoli and Ratgaon. Seven kilometers separate Brahmatal from the lake, which leads to broad meadows with alluring vistas of the Himalayan ranges. In the winter, the lake is covered in a thick layer of ice, and in January and February, the area is still blanketed in snow.
